ITF Tae Kwon Do
I run an ITF Tae kwon do class twice a week at the Town Hall in Lochgelly, we have been going since March 2008 and are now beginning to grow, having about a dozen licensed members, some adults and several children from about 8 to 11 years of age.
Tae kwon do is a Korean martial art and teaches participants discipline, self esteem, respect for others, perseverance and of course fitness and the ability to defend themselves. All classes are run by me (Robert MacGregor) personally, I am a third dan black belt with 21 years of Tae kwon do experience and the appropriate first aid, instructional and enhanced disclosure certificates.
In order to recruit more new students we now promise a “satisfaction or your money back” guarantee; where new students can pay their first month’s fees, and if they really don’t think that the training has been good value for money they can have a full refund. We also offer excellent family discounts and starter packages.
We recently visited Lochgelly West primary school to teach some classes to recruit more students, and will be visiting a womens group and the local primary school in Ballingry on 14th Jan 09. We will also do some free sessions at local community centres early in 2009 in Kelty (Moray Institute) and Ballingry.
The next coloured belt grading takes place on 12 December at 6:30pm at Kirkland High School, Methil. We have several of our current students ready for this grading.
