LOCHGELLY TEA DANCING
Lochgelly Tea Dances are held in Lochgelly Town Hall on Wednesdays 2.00 – 4.00 pm.
Cost of each session is £1 per person, and dancing recommences 26th August.
The dancing consists of ‘Easy Sequence’ and ‘Old Time’ dancing. It is open to men and women, couples or singles, and is an enjoyable way to combine exercise with the opportunity to meet new people and make new friends. The atmosphere is relaxed and convivial, and newcomers are made most welcome. Tea is included in the admission charge, but please bring your own cup.
The Tea Dances first started in the Lochgelly Institute in 1981, with Chrissie Scott and Bobby Erskine leading the floor. The dances later moved to Lochgelly Town Hall under the capable instruction of Mr. and Mrs. Ellis.Dancing is still ably led by Mrs. Chrissie Scott, now joined by her good friend Mrs. Margaret Brown.
