Major drugs seizure on Small Street
8 Jun 2009A major drugs seizure has been made by police in Lochgelly, with over three kilos of amphetamines with a street value of over £33,000 recovered from a house on Small Street.
The raid happened on Friday 5th June, when Police forced entry to a house in Small Street, acting on a search warrant granted after information was given to the police by members of the local community.
Inside the house, police found the amphetamines, and arrested a 20-year-old Lochgelly man, who is expected to appear from custody at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.
Local Area Chief Inspector Ross Bennet said: "The support of the public in tackling drug crime in our area continues to show dividends, with one more drug dealer put to the court.
"I would encourage the public to continue to provide us with information on those they suspect are involved in dealing in illegal drugs, which will not be tolerated in our community."
