Police appeal after Lochgelly property break-ins

Local police are appealing for witnesses following a number of break-ins to cars and garden sheds where property was stolen in the Lochgelly area over the past few days.

Pro-Active Sergeant Andy Howie, Cowdenbeath, said: "At this time of year, there is often an increase in the theft of property and I would remind all householders to remain vigilant and ensure homes, vehicles and sheds are properly secured and  where possible alarmed."

Fife Constabulary are committed to tackling crime in order to create safer communities and I would appeal for anyone with information regarding recent thefts or acts of a suspicious nature to contact Fife Police on 0845 600 5702 or via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
