Reduced hours for Lochgelly local services centre

  • Lochgelly's local services centre will have reduced hours throughout August

The Local Services Centre in Lochgelly will have reduced opening hours throughout the month until Friday 27th August, due to unforeseen circumstances.

To ensure a continuous service until then, Benarty and Kelty offices will open on alternate days as will Lochgelly and Cardenden, with Cowdenbeath opening every day except Wednesday afternoon.

Elaine Campbell, Customer Services Manager, explained: "I'd like to take this opportunity to apologise for any inconvenience that these alternative arrangements may cause. We've twinned Benarty with Kelty and Lochgelly with Cardenden to make sure we can provide consistent service over the next four weeks for our customers. We're hoping to resume normal business from 27th August but should this change we'll obviously let people know as soon as possible."

The new temporary local office opening times are as follows: Cowdenbeath - 9am-4pm (closed 12noon- 1pm for lunch) Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, and 9.30am - 1pm on Wednesdays

Benarty - 9am-3pm (closing 12.30-1.30pm for lunch) on Mondays & Fridays, 9.30am - 1pm on Wednesdays

Kelty - 9am-3pm (closing 12.30- 1.30pm for lunch) on Tuesdays & Thursdays, 9.30am-1pm on a Wednesday

Cardenden - 9am-3pm (closing 12.30-1.30pm for lunch) on Tuesdays & Fridays

Lochgelly - 9.15am-3pm (closing 12.45-1.15pm for lunch) on Mondays & Thursdays
