Two arrested on drugs charges after Lochgelly police raid
7 SeptemberTwo men have been arrested following a police raid in Lochgelly which netted illegal drugs worth around £1,800.
Officers from Cardenden, Benarty, and the Safer Neighbourhoods Team took part in the raid on a Lochgelly house under the Misuse of Drugs Act.
The operation discovered illegal substances to the value of around £1,800 and two adults are being reported for various offences..
Des Fitzgerald, Community Ward Sgt for the Cardenden area said: "Operations in respect of drugs misuse are ongoing within the entire Cowdenbeath area and I am pleased to report that we are making further progress in the fight to rid our streets of illegal drugs.
"All officers of Fife Constabulary are committed to reducing the harm caused by these substances and interrupting the supply of these drugs locally within our communities.
Cowdenbeath Area Chief Inspector Ross Bennet commented: "These operations could not have gone ahead without the assistance of our communities and I would take this opportunity to thank all those members of our community who have provided us with information during this period.
